Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what personal data we process when you visit kissoflife.ch or contact us, why we do it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

KissOfLife is a company in formation. Until the incorporation of KissOfLife AG, the website is operated by its founders:

For any questions about your data or to exercise your rights, write to support@kissoflife.ch. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

2. Visiting the website

What we process: When you visit kissoflife.ch, your browser automatically sends technical data to our hosting provider: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system.

Why: To deliver the website, keep it stable and protect it against attacks and misuse.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention: Server logs are kept only for a short period by our hosting provider and are then deleted automatically.

Hosting provider: Vercel Inc., USA. See section 7 on transfers abroad.

3. Waitlist and contact form

What we process: Name, email address, the option you select ("interested as": waitlist, investor, partner, press), your optional message, and the time of submission.

Why: To answer your enquiry and, if you join the waitlist, to keep you informed about KissOfLife (product updates, launch, pre-orders).

How it works:

• Every submission is sent to our support mailbox so we can reply to you.
• If you join the waitlist, you receive a confirmation email. You are only added to the waitlist after clicking the confirmation link (double opt-in). We store the time of your signup and confirmation as proof of consent.

Legal basis: Your consent for the waitlist (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Withdrawal: Every waitlist email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also write to support@kissoflife.ch at any time.

Retention: Waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe or until we stop the waitlist. Enquiries are kept as long as needed to handle them and any follow-up.

Service providers:

• Resend Inc., USA (sending notification emails from the form)
• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), France (waitlist management and emails)
• Microsoft (Microsoft 365, our support mailbox)

4. Email open and click tracking

Our waitlist emails, sent through Brevo, may contain small tracking pixels and tracked links. These tell us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, so we can understand what is relevant to our community. You can prevent this by blocking images in your email client. Unsubscribing ends all tracking.

5. Spam and bot protection

To protect our forms against spam and abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). Turnstile analyses technical signals from your browser (e.g. IP address, browser characteristics) to tell humans from bots. It does not use tracking cookies. We also limit the number of submissions per IP address and per email address using Upstash, Inc., USA.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in protecting the website and preventing misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Cookies and analytics

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It works without cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

Should we introduce cookies that require consent in the future, we will ask for your consent beforehand and update this policy.

7. Transfers abroad

Some of our service providers are located in the USA. Where a provider is certified under the Swiss-U.S. or EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, data is transferred on that basis. Otherwise, we rely on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• request information about the data we hold about you
• have incorrect data corrected
• have your data deleted, unless we are legally required to keep it
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests
• withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future
• receive your data in a common electronic format (data portability)

Send your request to support@kissoflife.ch. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the FDPIC (edoeb.admin.ch), in the EU the authority of your country of residence.

9. Data security

The website is served exclusively over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We limit access to personal data to the founding team and choose service providers that apply appropriate security measures.

10. Changes

We update this policy when our website or services change. The current version is always available at kissoflife.ch/privacy.
